Spectator Stage Safety

Spectator safety is a top priority at all UK rallies, and the Organisers have been working hard to create safe and enjoyable experiences for spectators. There will be dedicated Spectator viewing areas in the Glengap and Dalbeattie stages, with associated parking facilities.

Before the First Car Due times shown below, various Safety Cars will be driving the stages to make sure everything is set up correctly, and that everyone is in a safe location. The Motorsport UK Safety Delegate will be doing the final check and he must give his authorisation before the Stage can start.

To enable the stage to start and continue to run, please ensure you follow the instructions of the Marshals and Safety Cars, and that you are in location at least 30 minutes before the first car is due to start the stage. Please don’t be the reason everyone’s enjoyment is spoiled.

Post 4

Post 4 Spectator Point is reached from an unclassified forest road leading from the Forest Land Scotland car park just off the A710 Dalbeattie to Southwick Road.

Dalbeattie Initiative will be running a free Minibus service to this forest car park from the other Forest Land Scotland car park located opposite Jas P Wilson Forest Machines which is the location of the rally headquarters. The bus will commence transporting passengers from 11am, care should be taken when crossing the A710, it is hoped to have marshals to assist with crossing. Unfortunately, the forest road isn’t suitable for the bus to travel on this year because of storm damage, meaning passengers will have to walk a little further from the car park to the spectator point. (it could be muddy)

Post 7

Post 7 Spectator Point is reached with a short walk from an unclassified road approximately 100 yards before the Kippford junction also on the A710.

There isn’t a fixed car park available therefore please take extra care if looking to park. This is a very busy road and rally route for competitors.

Kinharvie

There is strictly NO Spectator access permitted to Kinharvie, and we ask that you do not attempt to do so.

For your safety, we encourage spectators to use these viewing areas. For more information on rally prohibited areas, please see our  Prohibited Areas leaflet

Please check back here for further details closer to the event.
