The RSAC Scottish Rally

The 24-25th June 2016 sees the 71st running of the RSAC Scottish Rally. The rally is sponsored for the twentieth consecutive year by Dumfries and Galloway Council which is believed to be a record for a partnership between a rally and a British local authority. The Competitors will leave the start on Whitesands at one minute intervals from 08:00 on Saturday 25 June. The stages run through Forestry Commission land at various locations in Dumfries and Galloway with dedicated spectator areas at Ae Forest, Rivox and Castle O’er. Cars will begin returning to the Town Centre for the finish line and prizegiving from around 18:20 on Saturday 25 June.

Walker Taken To The Woods

2016 RSAC New Talent Scholarship winner Gina Walker took part in her first forest event at the Brick and Steel Border Counties Rally in her Citroën C2. Competing as part of the C2MotorsportParts.Com Eccose Challenge, the rally took place in the Tweed Valley not far from Gina’s hometown of Duns.

Local drivers Andy Struthers from Libberton, Jordan Black from Lanark and Linzi Henderson from Carnwath all took part in this year’s Brick and Steel Border Counties Rally.  It was a disappointing day for the boys, but a successful day for Linzi.
